Behind The Pen

Welcome to my little bubble of all things writing, reading, poetry, prose and everything else in between!

I’m an aspiring writer with a passion for all things books and stories. Fuelled by coffee and chocolate (mostly chocolate to be fair), I try to read or write as much as I can while precariously balancing a zesty little neurodiverse household, a full time job, the social lives of four little (and not so little) human beings, and navigating my dream of becoming a published writer.

This is my wee corner of the internet where I can escape from reality into the lives of fictitious strangers or travel to a hundred lands as I make my way through the ever growing to-be-read pile of books scattered across my bed, bookshelves and beyond.

On days when the caffeine is hitting just about right, this is where I will also try to turn my own ramblings and notebook scribbles into stories and discussions that will hopefully keep you interested and even coming back for more.

So if you enjoy words about everything, stories about anything, book reviews in all shapes and sizes (with maybe a sprinkling of travel thrown in for good measure) then be sure to pop back because – plot twist – there is so much more to come!
